Go Gokarna

Warm hugs! Here we meet. We’re as excited as you are. You might be one of those enthusiastic solo travelers or maybe a little ‘unsure’ solo traveler, or say, you’re here with your partner or your friends. It doesn’t matter. We greet you and make sure that everyone greets each other like we’ve been friends for ages.
Now that we have inaugurated the start of new friendships, we board the train together and commence the Gokarna trip. We’ll take the sleeper train from Mumbai. Throughout the journey, we laugh with arms wide and make merry on the ride. ‘Cause, that’s what friends do

We’re in Gokarna folks! How amazing is that? But again, we reach at 3:30 am in the morning. Just the apt time for night owls to be awake & early risers to wake up for a brand new adventure. Toh Chale kya?
Alright friends, let’s now start and tick places out of our itinerary. First, Let's begin our trip with God's blessing and visit the Murudeshwar temple. A magnificent Shiva statue located right on the coast of the Arabian Sea, Murdeshwar boasts the second tallest Shiva statue in the world, followed by breakfast. And experience the most fantastic mangrove forest backwaters boating in honnavar. Leave for Gokarna immediately and check in to the resort by 1 pm. Take some rest, freshen up and leave for the most amazing combination of treks and beaches. Starting from Belecan beach, paradise beach, half moon beach, Om beach, and later chilling at some cafes at Om beach. Come back to our stay and have your delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Good morning again. It’s a beach day! The most fun day of the lot. Wake up and walk your way to the market. Have breakfast, explore the flea market of Gokarna, Mahabaleshwar temple, and check in to your next amazing stay which is a beachside stay. Rest and enjoy your free time by the beach side in the evening. Witness beautiful sunset by the beach side. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast. Check out from the stay and proceed towards Yana Caves. The entire path to Yana caves is nature’s treat. Soothing sounds of us walking through the path, the stream providing a constant background noise, and us giggling with one another. Everything breathes beauty.  As we reach closer, we come across some steep rocks while the beautiful mammoth cave unravels in front of our eyes. Reach Kumta station around  3:45 pm and board the train.

Every good thing has to end. So does the trip. But if there’s something that won’t end for sure- it’s the newfound friendship and newfound love! So until next time, we shall cherish the next few days with a pocket full of memories from Gokarna.
