Overview

Bhrigulake is a glacial lake named after renowned sage Bhrigu Rishi. This lake is on the mountain ranges of Pir-Panjal situated towards the south of Rohtang Pass. It’s a sacred lake as Maharishi Bhrigu used to mediate near the lake. All local devtas of the Kullu region take a holy dip in its sacred waters of Bhrigulake.

Trek to Bhrighu Lake can be done from two sides, from East trek starts from Gulaba or from west side through Vashisht. Round Trip through Gulaba is around 24 km and takes 3 days and 2 nights. Trek is a bit taxing and Steep but rewarding, as you get to witness the bird-eye views of the entire Beas Valley and Solang Valley from the top.

Itinerary

Day 1 :

        Arrival in Manali

  • Transfer to Gulaba (8500 ft) on Shared Cab (~25 km)
  • Trek from Gulaba to RolaKholi 8 kms trek (5 hrs)
  • Snacks + Dinner + Camping at RolaKholi (12500 feet)

 

Day 2 :

  • Breakfast at RolaKholi
  • Day Trek to Bhrigu Lake(14000 feet) 4 km (2 HRs) + Lunch enroute
  • Trek down to base campsite at RolaKholi 4km (2 hrs)
  • Snacks + Bonfire + Dinner + Camping @ RolaKholi (12500 ft)

 

Day 3 :

  • Breakfast at RolaKholi
  • Trek downhill to Gulaba 8 km (3 hrs)
  • Transfer to Manali  (25 km)
  • Departure to Delhi, Volvo starts at around 4pm from Manali

  • 2 trekking pants (water resistant/repellent and with inner lining for extra warmth)
  • Down jacket with min 600 fill power rating
  • Thick fleece/full-sleeve woollen sweater
  • Thermal inner wear (upper and lower)
  • Woollen cap (balaclava) Inner fleece gloves
  • Outer waterproof gloves Thick woollen socks and regular socks (4-5 pairs) Scarf/muffler (optional)
  • Comfortable waterproof (Goretex) trekking/hiking shoes (shoes with a thick sole and high ankles are recommended)
  • Sandals or slip on shoes for wearing at camp
  • Gaiters
  • Raincoat/poncho

  • We would love to host you, but in case you are unable to travel as planned and need to cancel your booking, do not worry. Our simple cancellation process makes sure you receive a quick confirmation and fast refunds.
  • Cancellation made before 30 Days – 70% Refund on Package Amount
  • Cancellation made within 30 to 15 Days – 50% Refund on Package Amount
  • Cancellation made after within 15 Days – No Refund on Package Amount
  • Rescheduling dates within the same trek – 20% of trek charges subject to availability
  • The applicable refund amount will be credited to you within 30 days after the trek completion date.

Important: 

Avoid wearing precious Jewellery while trekking, as Team TT won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without a refund.

Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands a good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
