Overview

Located in the southwest direction of Matheran, Garbett Plateau is a beautiful place that offers a mesmerizing 360-degree view of the all-time favorite hill station of Matheran. The point was discovered back in 1850 and covers around 8 square kilometers of the Sahyadris. Get a chance to visit this amazing spot and witness the beauty surrounding the area while trekking.

Trek Day

Garbett Plateau

Board the fast local to Karjat from departing from CST railway station at 06:10 hours. You will reach Bhivpuri railway station by 08:00 hours and meet the trek operator near the ticket counter of the station. After tea/coffee at the nearby stall, you will leave for the base village, Diksal. After reaching Diksal, you will immediately start trekking towards Garbett Point. You will reach the top after 3-4 hours of climbing. Explore the beautiful Garbett point and have lunch at the summit. Start descending towards Matheran. From Matheran, you will board a local transport to Neral station, and start your journey towards Mumbai. You will reach Mumbai by 19:00 hours. Your Garbett Point trek ends here.

02:30 pm - Reach Garbett point and rest.
03:00 pm - Start walking towards Dasturi taxi point.
04:00 pm - Reach taxi point and move towards Neral by local taxi.
05:00 pm - Reach Neral and disperse.

Payment Terms Policy

100% of the total trek cost should be paid 0 days before the date of booking

Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking

Cancellation Policy

If cancellations are made 5-7 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 3-5 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-3 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
No show: No refund.
All refunds will be processed after deducting the registration amount as the registration amount is non-refundable.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Notes

Avoid wearing precious Jewellery while trekking, as Time Travelers won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
The trek leader holds the right to make any changes in the program or schedule without any prior notice. Participants will have to bear extra charges if any, unavoidable expenses occurred due to change in program or natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks etc.
Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without a refund.
Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments, and causing a general disturbance.
Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands a good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over-the-counter medication for temporary treatment, so give them a heads up if you need any medical assistance.
If any natural calamity happens or any accident, death, illness occurred, Time Travelers is not responsible for any loss of thing or human being.
